A Crew is a curated group of AI Mentors and Digital Twins assigned to a set of learners. Think of a Crew as a learner's personal panel of AI experts — available on call for conversations, coaching, and guidance whenever the learner needs them.
What learners see
From the learner home dashboard at learn.napster.ai/course/, learners see a Your Crew Members section labelled "Companions on call." They can also access their full Crew via My Crew in the top navigation or via the Talk to my crew Quick Action. Each Crew member is available for a live AI conversation at any time.

Crew members: Mentors vs. Digital Twins
- Mentors — AI personas created from scratch, not modelled on a specific real person. Default for most coaching and learning conversations.
- Digital Twins — AI replicas of specific individuals (a professor, a top sales rep, a subject-matter expert) created from a real person's knowledge and likeness with their consent.
Use cases for Crews
- Onboarding cohort — assign all new hires to a Crew with an onboarding specialist Mentor
- Sales team — give a sales team access to a Digital Twin of your top account executive
- Department-specific experts — match each department to the subject-matter experts most relevant to their work
- Higher education — assign students to a faculty Digital Twin available outside class hours
