Getting Around Napster on iPhone and iPad
The Napster iOS app is designed for easy, intuitive use on both iPhone and iPad. Here's a guide to the main areas of the app.
Tab Bar (Bottom Navigation)
The bottom of the screen shows the main navigation tabs:
- Home: Your personalized feed with recommended music, AI companions, and recently played content.
- Search / Ask: Search for songs, albums, and artists, or ask Napster's AI music experts a question.
- Library: Your favorites, playlists, and AI-generated creations.
- Profile / Account: Account details, subscription info, and settings.
Home Screen
The Home screen highlights featured content including recommended playlists, new releases, AI Companion suggestions, and shortcuts to recently played music.
Now Playing Screen
When a track is playing, a mini player bar appears at the bottom. Tap it to open the full Now Playing screen, where you can:
- Play, pause, and skip tracks
- Scrub through the track timeline
- Enable shuffle and repeat
- Add the track to a playlist or favorites
- View lyrics (if available)
iPad Layout
On iPad, Napster takes advantage of the larger screen with a split-view or expanded layout. The sidebar may replace the bottom tab bar, allowing easier navigation between sections.
