Step 1: Reseat the USB-C cable
Unplug the USB-C cable from both the View and your Mac, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect. Try a different USB-C port on your Mac if available.
Step 2: Make sure the Napster for Mac App is running
The Napster app must be open and active for Napster View to function correctly. When the app is not running, macOS treats View as a standard external monitor with no special behaviour. This can cause the screen to appear blank or unresponsive and allows other app windows to drift onto the View display.
Open the Napster for Mac App and click Unmute to start a session. If the screen activates, this was the cause.
Step 3: Close and reopen the Napster for Mac App
Quit the app fully (Cmd + Q), then reopen it. Wait for it to finish loading before checking the View display.
Step 4: Check System Settings → Displays
Open System Settings → Displays. If "Napster View" is not listed, you may have reached your Mac's external display limit. On M1/M2 base models, only one external display is supported at a time.
- Disconnect any other external monitors or docks driving a display.
- Reconnect View directly via USB-C.
- Confirm "Napster View" now appears in Displays.
- Relaunch the Napster for Mac App.
Step 5: Restart your Mac
If the screen is still blank after the steps above, restart your Mac. Reconnect View and open the Napster app before opening other applications.
