Finding Your Way Around Napster on Android
The Napster Android app is designed for easy, intuitive navigation. Here's an overview of the main sections you'll find after signing in.
Bottom Navigation Bar
The bottom of the screen contains the main navigation tabs:
- Home: Your personalized feed with recommended music, AI companions, and quick access to recent content.
- Search / Ask: Search for songs, albums, artists, or ask Napster's AI music experts a question about music.
- Library: Access your saved favorites, playlists, and created music.
- Profile / Account: View your account details, subscription, and settings.
Home Screen
The Home screen surfaces recommended music, featured AI Companions, new releases, and shortcuts to your recently played content.
Now Playing Bar
When a track is playing, a mini player appears at the bottom of the screen above the navigation bar. Tap it to expand the full Now Playing screen, where you can:
- Play, pause, skip, and rewind tracks
- Adjust volume and shuffle/repeat settings
- Add the current track to a playlist or favorites
Side Menu / Profile
Tap your profile icon or the menu icon (if visible) to access account settings, preferences, and the sign-out option.
Tips for Android Navigation
- Swipe left or right on the Now Playing screen to skip tracks.
- Long-press on a song, album, or playlist for quick action options (Add to Favorites, Share, Add to Playlist).
- Use the back gesture or button to return to the previous screen.
