Spaces integrates with WooCommerce to give your customers an AI-powered shopping experience. Through this connection, your agent can search your product catalog, manage a shopping cart, and guide shoppers to your native WooCommerce checkout - all within a natural conversation.
Overview
When a customer uses Spaces on your WooCommerce store, here is what happens:
- Customer asks a question - a shopper asks about products through the Spaces AI agent.
- AI searches your catalog - the agent queries your store to find matching products, complete with pricing, images, descriptions, and direct links.
- Cart is managed - the agent can create a cart, add items, update quantities, and remove products within the conversation.
- Customer completes checkout - the shopper is directed to your native WooCommerce checkout to finalise the purchase using your configured payment methods and shipping options.
Setup
To connect Spaces to your WooCommerce store, provide your store URL when creating a Space. Spaces will connect to your store API automatically. Ensure your WooCommerce store API is accessible and not blocked by security rules or geo-restrictions.
What the agent can do
- Search your product catalog using natural-language queries
- Display product cards with name, price, image, and a direct link to the product page
- Create and manage a shopping cart (add items, update quantities, remove items)
- Provide a checkout link to hand the customer off to your WooCommerce checkout
What the agent cannot do
- Process payments - all payment handling happens in your WooCommerce checkout
- Access customer account history or private store data
- Modify store settings or product listings
Important notes
- Cart and checkout handoff work end-to-end only when the Space is used via Full URL or embedded as a module. It does not work with the Agent Only embed.

Do I need to install a plugin?
No plugin is required for basic integration. Spaces connects to your store via API.
Are product changes reflected in real time?
Yes. Changes you make to products, prices, or availability in your WooCommerce admin are reflected immediately.
Is this secure?
Yes. The integration provides read access to your publicly visible catalog data plus standard cart operations. It cannot access your admin panel, customer accounts, order history, or any private data.
