When you first sign in to Napster for Mac, you'll be guided through a short onboarding flow:
- Meet your crew — You'll meet Kai (Chief of Staff) and the full Companion team. Hover each face to hear a short intro.
- Pick your first Companion — Click Next to choose who you want to talk to first and start your first session.
- Mic and camera permissions — macOS will prompt you to allow microphone and camera access. Tap Allow — the App needs both for video sessions.
- First session starts — Click Unmute to begin your first real-time video conversation.
Jane and Cadence setup
If you choose Jane (your Cadence Chief of Staff), you'll be guided to connect your Gmail and Google Calendar so Jane can generate your daily briefing — a summary of email, calendar, and Slack activity with suggested actions. You can connect these integrations during onboarding or any time afterwards from Settings → Cadence.
Digital Twin (optional)
You can skip Digital Twin creation during onboarding and do it later from Profile → Create Digital Twin. Your Digital Twin is an AI version of you that can take meetings, manage your presence, and answer questions while you're offline.
Napster View (if connected)
If you have Napster View plugged in before launching the App, it's detected automatically and your Companion will appear on the View display during sessions.
