All first-time players should go through controller calibration. This is a very important step. You must create a new controller profile and complete the calibration process to ensure that your controller and the DRL Sim are communicating properly. Follow the steps below.
- Make sure your controller and cable are compatible with DRL Sim. Click Here to see if your controller and cable are compatible. You can also click here to see if your controller has been used by the community.
- Once confirmed compatibility, turn on your controller and plug it in to the computer. Or in some cases for specific controllers plug in the cable to the trainer port to turn on the controller, then plug in to the computer. To see if your controller needs a special setup process before in-game calibration, click here.
- Launch the game and click on Settings>Add/Remove Controllers>New Controller.
- Now go through the on screen instructions to complete the calibration process. Be Sure to put the sticks back in the "center" position each time before hitting the "Next" button on the screen. Also if your controller has "Switches" on it, it might help to have all the switches clicked in the same direction before calibration.
That's it! Your controller should now be setup and you're free to fly.
