The Profile picture that is selected for the game is the same profile picture you are using from either Steam, Xbox or PlayStation. If you are on Epic, you get one of the many "Dave-atar" images assigned to you. This is due to Epic not having avatars.
You can go into your profile in the platform you are playing the game and adjust your profile picture there. Once completed, restart the game and your new profile picture should automatically load in.
** If it is not visible yet, give it some time to update. This can several minutes to possibly hours for it to completely update.
