Napster is now where you create music, not just listen to it.

3. Why don’t I see the regular music catalog anymore?
Napster ended its agreements with major music labels. The licensed catalog is no longer available.
Instead, Napster is now where you create:
- AI music companions across every genre you can make songs with
- Original tracks you own — download, share, or sell them
- Personalized playlists and mood-based stations featuring AI-generated music
Your playlists from before aren't lost. Head to Tune My Music and you'll find a tool that will automatically move them to any streaming service you choose.
4. Do I need a new account or password?
No. You can continue using the same username and password you always used with Napster.
5. What will happen to my monthly subscription price?
Your price stays the same. We've upgraded your account to Napster Pro, which includes up to 20 hours of AI conversation or 120 song generations per month. We're also giving you 3,000 credits to start — enough to create hundreds of original songs that you own.
6. Why am I being billed the same price if the service changed?
We understand this is a significant change. You signed up to listen to music — now you can create it. Your subscription unlocks AI music companions, thousands of expert companions across other domains, interactive books and podcasts, and digital twin creation. These features would cost significantly more as separate services.
That said, we know this isn't for everyone. If it's not what you're looking for, you can cancel anytime with no penalties — and we've made it easy to export your playlists first.
7. What will happen to my old playlists and saved songs?
We know how important your playlists are. If you’d like to transfer your playlists to another music service, we’ve partnered with Tune My Music to help you transfer your Napster playlists for free.
8. What are AI Companions that are now featured in the Napster app?
AI companions are video experts you can talk to in real time. Each has memory, personality, and deep expertise in their domain.

Yes. Napster has fully shifted to an AI-generated platform and will no longer operate as a traditional music streaming/catalogue service.
13. Do I need to do anything right now?

14. What if I don’t want the new Napster app?
You may cancel your subscription at any time in account settings. There are no penalties or lock-in periods.
