Why is the Merch store exclusive to Napster Subscribers?

If I really want to buy some Napster merch but not a subscriber, how can I purchase them?
You can simply sign up for a Trial account. Or if you have a friend that has a Napster account, they might be able to help with getting the Napster Merch? The Subscribers might get some discounts too.
Will you open up the Napster Merch store to the general public? If so, when?
