Napster Family Plan

Introduction:

          “Music for family” Now each family member can have their own Napster account, with their own listening history, playlists and the features you enjoy on Napster.

Let’s upgrade to a family plan, you become an organizer and can invite other family members to join your plan. All family members will be covered under the organizer’s plan, and will not be billed separately.  

 

Pricing: 

Napster offers family plan with three different prices as follows,

  1. It costs $14.99 for a Parent and a child subscription.
  2. It costs $19.99 for a Parent and 2 child subscriptions.
  3. It costs $24.99 for a Parent and 3 child subscriptions.
  4. It costs $29.99 for a Parent and 4 child subscriptions.

 

End-to-End Flow:

1. Switch to Family Plan

You can switch to family plan via My Account page either by clicking on the “Edit” option next to “Your Subscription” on the Account Summary page.

2. Changing a subscription plan

You will get four different pages based on the subscription plan you have as given below:

 

(I). Non Family Plan User can switch the plan as given below

A. You have to click on “Select Plan” to add one or more family members.

B. You will get a page with a drop down box to choose the number of family members you would like to add, where you need to choose the plan you prefer and then click on the “Confirm” button.

C. When you click on “Invite a family member now”, you will get a page to manage your Napster family members.

D. When you click on “Invite family member”, an invitation will be sent to the created family member's email address as given below.

E. Once the Invitation is sent, you will get a page as given below where you can resend the invitation or cancel the sent invitation.

F. Once the child account is created by using the email invitation, the “Manage Your Napster Family” page will show that the family member is active as given below where you can also remove, if you want to block access to that family member.

(II). Family Plan User can switch his plan as given below

A. Being a Family plan user, you will get a page as given below based on your plan. There you can click on “Add Members” to add the family members.

B. You will then get a page to select the number of family members you would like to have. The next option will be to click on the optional button provided below for the plan that you want to select and then click on the “Choose Plan” button.

C. Once you clicks on “Invite a family member now”, you will get a page to manage the Napster family.

D. When you click on “Invite family member”, an invitation will be sent to the created family member's email address as given below.

E. Once the Invitation is sent, the recipient will get a page as given below where he can resend the invitation or cancel the sent invitation.

F. When the child account is created by using the email invitation, the page “Manage Your Napster Family” will show that the family member is active as given below which you can also remove, if you want to block access to that child account user.

3. Downgrading to a non-Family Plan tier

(I) Please click on the “Select plan” button to downgrade the membership.

(II)When you click on the “Select Plan” button, you will get a prompt to confirm the change. Where you need to click on the button “Confirm this change” to downgrade the membership.

(III) Once you click on the button “Confirm this change”, he will get a confirmation that the subscription plan is changed as given below.

(IV) When you click on “Back to Account Summary”, he will get the account summary page as given below based on the plan selected.

4. Downgrading to a +1 or +2 Family Plan tier

(I) For this plan you have to click on the optional button provided below the plan that you prefer and then the button “Choose the plan”.

(II) When you click on “Choose the plan”, you will get an option to “Remove Members from your plan” page as given below. There you can select the family members that you wants to remove.

(III) When you click on the button “Remove from plan”, you will get a confirmation that the subscription plan is changed as given below.

(IV) When you click on “Back to Account Summary”, the account summary page will appear as given below.

5. Removing family member from a sub-account

(I) Please click on “View/Change” under Family members” on the Account Summary page to go to “Manage Family members” page. Then click on the button “Remove” to remove a family member from the Parent account.

(II) Once you click on the button “Remove” you will get a prompt to confirm the change.

(III) If you click on the button “Remove” on the prompt, a confirmation page will be displayed as given below.

(IV) When you clicks on “Back to Account Summary”, you will get the account summary page as given below.

6. Adding another family member (upgrade)

(I) Please click on “View/Change” under Family members” on the Account Summary page to go to “Manage Family members” page. Then you need to click on the option “Add a family member for $5/month” to add a family member.

(II) Once you click on the button “Add a family member for $5/month”, you will get a prompt to confirm the change.

(III) And when you click on the button “Confirm this change” on the prompt, you will get a confirmation page as given below.

(IV) Then you will needs to click on the button “Invite a family member now” and create an account for the family member and send the invitation from “Manage family member” page.
