If you are running Android 7, you may experience a problem with your phone rebooting periodically. This can happen when you are playing Napster over a WIFI connection. Napster is currently working with Google to understand the nature of how this occurs, but we believe this has to do with WIFI scanning on Android 7. To address this issue, we have released a new version of Napster which disables any feature that requires WIFI scanning for Napster users running Android 7. This should prevent any Napster initiated reboots.
Napster has also found that reboots can still occur regardless of whether you have Napster installed or the version that is installed. We believe this is related to WI-FI scanning to improve location accuracy and we are working with Google to help them resolve the issue. In the meantime, Napster is providing the following instructions to disable WI-FI scanning to improve location accuracy.
We believe that taking both of these steps should allow you to experience Napster on Android 7 without a reboot. Other applications, however, can still initiate a WIFI scan which may cause the phone to reboot.
Napster will update this article once as we learn more from Google.
