Android Troubleshooting

 

The steps below solve most issues with the Napster Android app. See our Android app feature guide here.

1.  Completely shut off your device and turn it back on

2.  Check for an app update

3.  Sign out and then Sign back in:
     1. Tap the Napster icon
     2. Tap Settings
     3. Tap Sign Out 

4.  Ensure there is free space by checking Android Settings > Storage.

5.  Switch between WiFi, Cellular & airplane mode.

6. Reset Date & Time
     1. Tap Android Settings
     2. Tap Date & Time
     3. Uncheck Automatic Date & Time
     4. Set date & time manually
     5. Uncheck Automatic Time Zone and set timezone manually
     6. Open Napster
     7. Tap the main menu
     8. Tap Settings
     9. Tap Sign Out
     10. Sign back in

7.  Clear the Napster app data & Cache. Library and playlists are safe, but saved songs are removed.
       1.  Tap Android Settings
       2.  Tap Applications or Application Manager
       3.  Tap Napster
       4.  Tap Clear Cache and Data
       5.  Re-download any saved songs

8. Uninstalling and re-installing the app fixes 99% of problems. Library and playlists are safe, but saved songs are removed.
        1.  Tap the phone's Menu button
        2.  Tap Android Settings
        3.  Tap Applications or Application Manager
        4.  Tap Napster
        5.  Tap Uninstall
